First up, Dario. Dario is Head Roaster, Head of Green Coffee Buying and our Founder.
He selects all of the coffees that find themselves inside Bluebird bags and roasts all the coffees on our single origin menu. Dario is the engine behind Bluebird Coffee Roastery. The intention, conviction and passion that forms Bluebird’s core is what we have inherited from our founder.

This is Claudia, she’s the face of the Bluebird HQ Cafe. Claudia is a weapon on the espresso machine and has quickly become an outstanding latte-artist. If you’ve ever been to Bluebird HQ, you most likely had a coffee poured by Claudia. Claudia makes sure that every coffee being brewed, pastry being served and smoothie being blended from our bar is true to Bluebird quality.

Fanie is a roaster and barista. By day, Fanie roasts all of our blends and heads up our dispatch and production. By night, he is a leader in the South African barista competition space and is focused on pushing quality and consciousness in the coffee space. Fanie has spent years cultivating deep knowledge and understanding as a barista as well as a roaster. He brings a world-class focus on quality to every bag that leaves the roastery.

Luhle is our Wholesale Manager and Head Trainer. He has worked on coffee bars for a couple of years and is using his skills to spread the espresso love to you as well as our wholesale partners. Luhle is focused on keeping every cup of Bluebird coffee tasting amazing and developing our education program. Luhle is passionate about coffee education and is relentless in his pursuit of creating greater coffee opportunities. We look forward to Luhle’s barista competition career.

Katie heads up all our digital media and photography. She manages our website and makes sure communication happens efficiently. Katie is the one telling the Bluebird story through our photographs, graphics and writing.
