Coffee Origins

Reko Wash Station, named after the tall, thin mountain above the hills of Kochere. It translates to “challenge”, referring to the challenge of climbing the mountain. Testi Coffee own Reko CWS and they benefit from Testi’s education program and resources. Located in the famed Yirgacheffe region, Reko is a running mate alongside the best coffee produced in Ethiopia and are an example to many of their surrounding wash stations. 850 farmers from the region bring coffee cherries to Reko every harvest season, between late October and January. This naturally processed coffee has flavour notes of nectarine and ripe red plum. It is juicy and delicious! 🍒
Yirgacheffe is considered by many to be the birthplace of coffee and most coffee trees in the area are from natural, wild heirloom varietals that have been cultivated. Yirgacheffe was the home of the first wet mill washing station in Ethiopia when washed coffees were introduced to Ethiopia in the 1970s..

Single origins: Our roast style and green coffee preference suits both filter and espresso very well.

Each coffee with present different characteristics you may prefer through a specific brew method.

For example Dario loves washed Kenyan’s through the AeroPress, but they taste great as espresso and through the V60.

Blends: Designed with espresso in mind but Dreamer tastes great in the plunger. It’s all down to personal preference!
