Coffee Origins
The first Bluebird coffee Richie loved was a washed Red Bourbon from Migoti Coffee in Burundi, this was a few seasons back. Brewed through his trusty Moka pot, the sweetness and acidity profile blew him away. This seemed like an obvious starting point when building this blend.
Richie’s brief was that it shouldn’t be too crazy. It should be a coffee you would reach for every morning. We also wanted it to be suitable for both filter and espresso. This led us to the second coffee that makes up our blend, a beautiful coffee from the famous, Cafe Granja La Esperanza in Colombia.
The acidity of the Washed Migoti lot is balanced out by the sweetness of the Washed Yellow Bourbon grown at Las Margaritas. Each coffee is roasted individually for clarity and sweetness and then blended in a 1:2 ratio respectively.
Sweet, balanced and easy to brew. Stoked!

Single origins: Our roast style and green coffee preference suits both filter and espresso very well.
Each coffee with present different characteristics you may prefer through a specific brew method.
For example Dario loves washed Kenyan’s through the AeroPress, but they taste great as espresso and through the V60.
Blends: Designed with espresso in mind but Dreamer tastes great in the plunger. It’s all down to personal preference!
Major centres, 2-3 days. Outlying 2-5 days depending on how far out-of-the-way the location is.
