Richie Howes is a legend of the South African tattoo industry. Having grown up skating and surfing on the South Coast of KwaZulu Natal, Richie fell into tattooing after being offered an apprenticeship while getting tattooed. A short while later he opened Electric Lounge Tattoo Parlour in Shelly Beach which he ran for 15 years, before taking his craft to True Love Tattoo in Johannesburg. Thank you Richie. We got to know Richie and his wife Adel, another of SA’s most exciting tattooers, as Dario collected some amazing tattoos from them both. Richie loves his coffee and over the years of friendship, the idea to collaborate has been percolating. And here we are!
