Coffee Origins

One of the most famous producing farms in Columbia and the world, renowned for their exotic varietals and signature flavour profile achieved through their meticulous fermentation practices that they have been refining since 2010. Their global success on the competition stage was kicked off with a win at WBC 2015, where Sasa Sestic won the competition using their coffee. The team at Inmaculada holds sustainability as a core value, promoting biodiversity and regenerative farming practices at every step of their production process. They grow some incredible varieties of coffee including Sudan Rume, Geisha, Laurina, Eugenoides, Pink Bourbon, Chiroso, Papayo and they have done extensive work on species research, famously revivifying the Eugenoides coffee species which took the coffee world by storm in 2021, taking 3 of the top 6 spots at WBC that year, along with the top spot in the WBrC. In 2022, they commenced the Fellow Farms project, where they buy coffee from surrounding farms and regions, particularly from producers lacking in the processing facilities and skillset. They process those coffees and sell them into the global market under the Inmaculada Fellow Farms banner, elevating both the quality and demand for those coffees by association. The proceeds from these sales are fed directly back into those communities. This project directly elevates these partner farms by providing education on farming, harvest and processing practices, not just ensuring the coffees have a home, but that the quality increases year after year.
A delicious rendition of Colombian Geisha, this coffee brings all of the great processing characteristics we have come to expect from Inmaculada Coffee farms and the celebrated characteristics of the Geisha varietal together, giving us an expressive coffee with fruit characteristics and texture thanks to the fermentation, along with delicate floral character and complexity which Geisha is so known for. Inmaculada’s Geisha coffees have seen great success on the competition stage, being used by multiple national champions and can frequently be found on the World Barista Championship and World Brewers Cup stages, so this coffee has been born out of a decorated lineage of some of the best in Colombia, and the world. Flavour notes of raspberry and clementine with the juicy texture we’ve come to expect from Inmaculada’s coffees, give way to delicate white grape sweetness and florality, giving this coffee an unmistakably geisha-esque characteristic whether brewed as filter coffee or espresso. The bold yet clean flavour profile plays well with milk, giving off raspberry shortbread and sticky toffee pudding vibes as a milky drink, making this a versatile and delicious Geisha, celebrating both the beautiful varietal characteristics and the fermentation driven flavour profile Inmacualada is famous for.

FAQs

What is the best brew method for each coffee?

Single origins: Our roast style and green coffee preference suits both filter and espresso very well.

Each coffee with present different characteristics you may prefer through a specific brew method.

For example Dario loves washed Kenyan’s through the AeroPress, but they taste great as espresso and through the V60.

Blends: Designed with espresso in mind but Dreamer tastes great in the plunger. It’s all down to personal preference!
